Made better, made to last
We design fewer pieces, made from traceable materials, in mills we have visited. Nothing is final — but here is exactly where we are.
Materials
- 78% of fabrics are GRS-certified recycled or responsibly sourced (FY24).
- All polyamide is recycled Italian Q-NOVA® from pre-consumer waste.
- Bras and lounge use Lenzing™ Modal from FSC-certified forests.
- Trims, threads and labels: 100% recycled polyester from 2025 onward.
Supply chain
Cut and sewn in three family-run factories — two in northern Italy, one in Portugal. Every supplier is SA8000 audited. We publish our full mill list annually in the Impact Report.
Packaging
Cartons are 100% recycled, FSC-certified and printed with vegetable inks. Polybags are home-compostable corn-starch. We removed all virgin plastic from outbound packaging in 2023.
Lifetime repair
Send any Élan piece back, any time, for free repair at our London atelier — broken zips, snapped straps, worn waistbands. We'd rather fix it than replace it.
What's next
By end of 2026: 95% recycled or regenerative fibres across the line, in-house take-back and resale, full Scope-1 + 2 carbon disclosure.
